Effects – The Core of the Broken Staff CRPG System

This is the first in a series of posts where I will be outlining the Broken Staff CRPG system and giving an introduction into how it works. Introducing… Effects! At the heart of the Broken Staff CRPG system are effects. You can find the effect information in two files: Effects.xml and EffectTypes.xml. Who We Make Games For

Our Target Audience Ultimately we make games for ourselves. We make the games we want to play because Big GameDev is not making them. Having said that we hope for as many people as possible to enjoy our games. We want to make classic CRPGs. We think as lifetime players and fans we can make good games in that genre and it is still a very under-serviced market. We make games that we hope are entertaining.
